The IWC Aquatimer Jacques-Yves Cousteau Chronograph was introduced in 2010 as part of IWC’s tribute to the legendary ocean explorer. This robust and stylish 44mm stainless steel dive watch features a slate black dial paired with striking midnight blue subdials, creating an elegant yet functional aesthetic. The sapphire crystal bezel is designed for optimal legibility and ease of use, even underwater with water resistance up to 100 metres.

This special edition also includes thoughtful tributes to Cousteau, including his signature near the date display and an engraving of his iconic profile on the case back. The rubber-coated crown enhances grip, while the quick-change strap system adds versatility, allowing for seamless transitions between casual and professional settings. 

WHAT’S INSIDE:

Powered by the  IWC Calibre 79320 automatic chronograph movement, based on the reliable ETA 7750, it offers an approximately 44-hour power reserve.

This watch received a pressure test and full-service overhaul, including replacement parts to the movement, a new crown, case tubes, gaskets and a new rubber strap in 2023.
