Inspired by Japan's ancient incorporation of the twenty-four 'Sekki' or seasonal changes into daily life, this timepiece embodies the essence of nature and weather.
This Grand Seiko Heritage Collection watch takes inspiration from the season of 'Seimei,' which symbolizes clarity and brightness. During the start of April, trees bloom, and new leaves unfurl in the warm spring air. The light silvery-green dial of the watch evokes a scene of gentle spring breezes, bright sunlight, and the beauty of cherry blossoms and young leaves. Appropriately named 'Sakura-Wakaba,' meaning 'cherry blossom' and 'young leaf,' this timepiece features a delicately crafted dial encased in box sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating.
The 62GS design is a tribute to Grand Seiko's first self-winding watch launched in 1967. The case, made of high-intensity titanium, features a reflective and multi-faceted design with a large dial opening achieved through a bezel-less construction and Grand Seiko's signature Zaratsu polishing. This 38mm model boasts a sleek and legible aesthetic, making it both functional and comfortable.
The exhibition case back of this watch allows you to see the accurate and powerful in-house 9S85 hi-beat movement, which operates at 36,000 vibrations per hour and boasts a 55-hour power reserve. It is designed to maintain a precision of 5/-3 seconds per day, making it a reliable timekeeping companion.
Every Grand Seiko features signature high standards of precision, durability and legibility, handcrafted in Japan by Takumi artisans.
