CAPCOM's 1942 video game is a classic, allowing the player to scroll from left to right, taking down oncoming enemies as you battle from level to level. One of the defining features of 1942 is the pixelated graphics that immediately call back to the video games of the 80' and 90's. Avi-8 has found a way to bottle this nostalgia in their new Flyboy CAPCOM 1942 Automatic Pixel Limited Edition collection.

The collection features three watches; the Silver Ace, Gunmetal Ace and Midnight Ace. Each comes in a 41mm stainless steel case, with the latter two in a gray or black pvd coating. Yet that isn't what draws your attention. Each watch has a molded 3D dial that gives the appearance of a pixel pattern. The image on the dial makes it feel as if a moment from the game has been pulled from the game and placed directly on your wrist. This also creates a level of depth to the dial which gets you lost in all its details.

Powering the watches in this collection is the Seiko NH35 movement. It beats at 21600 bph and has a power reserve of 41 hours. The movement can be hacked for more precise timekeeping and features a date complication which can be viewed at 6 o'clock on each watch.
